A fire in the basement of a two-storey commercial occupancy, reached by a single interior stair. Heavy smoke is banked down to the floor of the retail space with no visible fire.
Attic Fire — Older Balloon-Frame Dwelling
Smoke is showing from the eaves and a gable vent of a single-storey older dwelling. The walls are balloon-framed with no fire stops, so fire can travel inside the wall cavities from the basement to the attic.
Garden Apartment — Kitchen Fire
A single-storey garden apartment with a stovetop fire that has extended into the cabinets. The occupant has self-evacuated and meets crews at the door.
Grass Fire Threatening Structures
A fast-moving grass fire in light fuels is running toward three structures on the downwind side, with a wind pushing it across an open field.
Interface Fire — Wind-Driven with Home Ignition
A wind-driven fire in the wildland-urban interface with a sustained 25 mph wind, spotting into a neighbourhood. One structure is already involved and the fire is spotting ahead of itself.
Highway Tanker Rollover — Unknown Liquid
A tanker has rolled onto its side on a highway ramp and is leaking an unknown liquid into the shoulder. The driver has self-extricated and is standing near the truck.
Chlorine Odour at an Indoor Pool
A chemical odour and eye irritation have driven swimmers out of an indoor pool building. The pool chemical storage room is adjacent to the pump room and the odour is strongest there.
Trench Collapse — Worker Trapped
An unshored utility trench about six feet deep has collapsed on a worker, burying him to the waist. The spoil pile sits at the trench edge and the opposite wall is cracked.
Confined Space Rescue — Worker in a Manhole
A utility worker is unresponsive at the bottom of a manhole. His partner is about to climb in after him and the atmosphere has not been tested.

A working fire in one unit of a six-unit strip mall with a common attic. The fire is spreading through the attic space and the adjoining units are occupied businesses.
Apartment Building — Working Fire with Evacuation
A working fire in a third-floor apartment of a six-storey building with a common hallway. Residents are self-evacuating down the single stair and smoke is entering the stairwell.
Elevator Entrapment with a Medical Emergency
